First round of soccer portraits with the A9 successful. The new viewfinder is really fantastic for reviewing. I do have to make some adjustments to my button layout and custom menu coming from the A7RII, but functionally there were no hiccups other than having to disable the touchscreen - when I would flip up the screen it would often switch to touch-mode and I had to back out of it. Was a pain, so I won't be using it very much I don't think.
I have completed two identical sessions of two hours each - first with the A7RII, second with the A9. Had to change batteries at 1.5 hours with the A7RII, but the A9 still had 57% remaining on the first battery when I got home. I like that
