The extra 12 to 16mm is definitely welcome to have when shooting real estate, although much of the time you'll be able to take a step or two back. The example above, of an exterior shot, I fail to understand why 16mm wouldn't be enough.
In the end, it will depend of your style or shooting. I'm moving more and more away from the wide angle side and most of my clients are enjoying that change. I still have some though that, unfortunately, simply want to make a small room look like a palace.
If you're shooting boring properties with no to very little interior design put into it, the wider you'll tend to go. Luckily for me, that's rarely the case here in Stockholm.
