I found an owl hobbling around my property yesterday and the Village where I live said there was nothing they could do - so I hired a private rehab group to come out and they found 2 baby owls both with severely broken legs. I've never seen owls up close before - this lady just scooped them up without gloves - look at those talons! Their eyes were beautiful. They will have their legs put in a 'cast', rehabbed and released when they're ready. My wife got onto me for sharing these photos w/ family/friends b/c she said it doesn't present the lady in a great way - and i told her unlike most photos, i'm not looking at the lady in these - and the reality was the lady was more interested in getting them put in her van before their mom saw what was going on so it's not like she was standing around posing.

all with a7r2 + 50/1.4 @ f/2
