This is a Great Egret. Don't feel badly because this really threw me off at first.

It sure does look like a Snowy. I think it is the apparent size of this bird you photographed that is deceptive. It is much larger than it looks.

Snowy's have yellow slippers (feet), a black bill and a yellow lores (at base of bill).

Great Egrets have yellow bills and darkish to black legs.
