Well, we should remember that our bread isn't all buttered by birds in flight alone. Some of us put greater demands on the AF system and the shooter than a lone merganser cutting in front of us. There is a problem with the D500 tracking moving targets in high traffic conditions using dynamic. Hell, even in no traffic conditions. It isn't working properly. It isn't dependable. Fortunately, I have a D4.
You know where I've seen something very similar before? My 1DIII. Complete with some owners telling me there was nothing wrong with it and I was just a bad camera operator.
