Re: Official: Hasselblad X1D-50c Medium Format Mirrorless
When I was at Photo Plus on October 20, I handled the camera for a few minutes It had quite a bit of heft to it. I was told that Hasselblad hoped to have the issues with the camera ironed out in November. There had been many more cameras ordered than they had anticipated.
Also, when at Photo Plus, I stopped by the Fujifilm booth and the new Fuji camera (several bodies) was on display in two locked cases. The camera was not available for handling. Justin Stailey of Fujifilm (whom I have known) for years indicated that the camera was still only in concept and it was not completed, but would be available in 2017. They had several lenses with the camera which were designed for the camera. When asked, Justin confirmed that the camera was designed as an open system (like the Sony A7 system) and not a closed system as is the case with the new Hassleblad. Also, the new Fuji camera does not look really that large though it is deeper than the Hasselblad. Finally, Fuji is considering or expecting to release some lenses with a leaf shutter for those interested and requiring high speed flash sync.
