Re: Official: Hasselblad X1D-50c Medium Format Mirrorless

Is it possible that they simply can\'t meet demand?

The camera is quite unique, and ambitious, nothing else is like it ATM(*). So, is it harder to get it working right, are lots of Leica style customers creating \"unexpected\" demand. OK, perhaps it takes a few extra months, nothing different than we got with Zeiss when their Batis and Loxia lenses also suffered from \"unexpected\" demand - but it was _really_ worth the wait

I like this camera, and I find myself no longer caring about the next Leica-M and if it might have an EVF for my aging eyes ...

At this point, I’ve been told that a decision has been made to reorganise the production facility to cope with much higher volumes than were initially anticipated (even so, the back order list is expected to extend into early next year). This reorganisation is currently in progress and means delivery of the first cameras is now expected late November. Just passing along what I know.

(*) New Fuji MF is not even close in concept. Nice, but same as Pentax, the cheap MF option for working pros.
