Terrific images Peire. Which town is this? TIA.
K-H.
Thank you. This is Jelenia Góra (Jeleni Hora,Hirschberg) in Lower Silesia,South-Western Poland, near Czech border.Little town with only 87 000 inhabitants, but with long ,(900 years ).and great history.
Thank you so much. You live in a beautiful town.
My father grew up in Bielitz, Kreis Falkenberg which should be located in that general area, I believe in Upper Silesia. But unfortunately I don\'t know the current names.
Thanks again.
K-H.
I have visited Jelenia Góra a few days ago.It is not my home city, but it is situated only 120km South-West from the place I live, namely Wrocław (Vratislav/Breslau) - the capital of the region.
Bielice (Bielitz) you\'r father\'s homeland is a nice village locted in the flat, fertile and green region of Niemodlin (Falkenberg),voievodship Opole (Opoli/Oppeln) ,situated 120km to South-East from Jelenia Góra.All those cities belong to the same big region - Dolny Śląsk (Lower Silesia /Dolni Slezsko/Niederschlesien).
