To much talk, not enough sample photos!

Unfortunately the sample photos Hasselblad had for the launch were pretty awful at showing off the abilities of the camera and painfully average in general.

The camera looks like a masterpiece. I don\'t need it, but would love to use it! But, yeh, the sample photos did not impress artistically. They looked very casual. Maybe there were technical reasons for choosing them.

What\'s so special in the way it looks that you call this camera a masterpiece?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so some will not agree. But I see elegant lines all over, a truly compact body for the sensor size, very functional design with everything that\'s needed and nothing extra, and a refined balance of machine-ness and human-ness. It\'s all about making the picture, not about the buttons and dials.

Now guessing from the photos, I gather it gives the feel of quality and sturdiness unlike, say, the typical Sony or Fuji, and it should for the $9K price.

As an aside, I recently watched someone\'s video about the Contax 645 film camera. While a much-loved camera with a great lenses, the video highlighted all of the design quirks of the body exterior. It was a rundown of everything that could go wrong — and ruin your pictures — because it was too loose, in the way, or in too easy to inadvertently flip out of place.
