I took out a forgotten lens today for a test run in my back yard. I bought this Nikon - Nikkor 300mm ED f/4.5 lens back a couple of years ago when I started to experiment with mirrorless using an Olympus OMD-EM1. The 300mm becoming a 600mm on the micro 4/3 format. Well I decided to give it a go on the A7r2 and I\'m pleased with the results. It is a manual focus lens so focussing is very precise and smooth. The A7r2\'s IBIS, focus peaking and magnification makes it very easy to use. It is a well built all metal lens but is fairly small for a 300mm lens. Slow at f/4.5 but for landscape work it really does well.
All taken handheld at f/8 except the first which was at f/5.6.
