Trip is over. Begin the flights home tomorrow. The reasons for going to Iceland were landscapes. For Svalbard it was one certain animal. For the first three days I was thwarted-either trips were cancelled due to weather or just not within our reach that particular day. Definitely not my best pic but one of the costliest, craziest with the boat rides to get to the colonies, and most worrisome in that I wouldn\'t get one. I\'ve imaged a lot of animals but Odobenus rosmarus has been tops for a long time=maybe a spirit animal Ha! But today the weather turned incredible, the Arctic Ocean was like a mirror and our big Zodiac could cruise along at 39mph. The whole trip just today took 11 hours but man was it so worth it.
