Do you think I should have lifted the shadows more in No 2 or retained the difference between the darker and light areas, which is of course what it was like in reality?
Peter, excellent shots! I love the feel to the shot and yes I would raise the shadows to have the detail on the trees, but at the same time I would reduce the very bottom end of the curve, \"dark\" to have true blacks but still having the detail. This should give more shape and depth to the trees.
