The last chance I had to look at this thread was Friday. I looked this morning and we had moved from page 1607 to 1613! It seem to take for ever to catch up but I don\'t really mind because the photos are so good and warrant a proper look.

Do you think I should have lifted the shadows more in No 2 or retained the difference between the darker and light areas, which is of course what it was like in reality?
Peter,
Great images, regardless but I would lift the shadow just a tad more if I were you.
I have been to the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles for quite some time and used it quite a bit for lens testing. I was planning of doing so with the Batis 18mm and I went through a few images that I took before trying to refresh my memory on the various angles of this unique structure. I came across a few unprocessed that I knew I never posted before. It was during the period when I wanted to incorporate the sunrise in the image but I never could directly based on the orientation of building. I figured out several ways of still doing so and here is one of them. I just could catch the reflection but the glowing warmth of the sun in Southern California came through enough. Here it is... The lens could be Leica WATE or Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8, I am not sure at this point.
However, the weather pattern in Southern California is in a typical \"June Gloom\" weather pattern. Gloomy in the morning and the sun would not come out until in mid-afternoon or so. I have to look for a different location to try out the Batis under more favorable real life shooting conditions.
