Re: Nikon D500 Announced

Henry,

what drivers are you referring to for what devices?

the term \"well documented\" is fairly broad reference. and again if a company chooses not to support driver development for their product that\'s another way they use to put it to rest. I can put up a list of \"offenders\" who have done this due to just plain poor design too. again blaming the OS for what is not its issue is rather counterproductive.

in the past few years I have lost the ability on a few products:

senneheiser usb headphone adapter. not due to the OS but due to the voltage levels in USB 3 ports. no tolerance. so much for backwards compatibility.
some USB 2 card readers. not a biggie. I just don\'t buy their product anymore. oh, that was with windows 7

a few wireless adapters

now, my slide scanner (Nikon 4000ED) still works with third party software and a firewire 400 adapter.

my HP4P printer (parallel port) printer still works using an adapter to network. that is the oldest working computer hardware I own and over 20 years old.
