frankly, i\'d never shoot the lens at f/1.4 because i think by stopping down 1/3 or 2/3 of a stop you have a massive pick up in quality from various aberrations being cleaned up (at least that is the way it is with most lenses). i\'m also not into razor thin DoF.
this thread has turned into a garbage pit discussing the noise issue, hopefully some others start taking some pics with this lens.....
