Looking through my cabinet the other day I ran across several filters that I had bought back in my Canon days, including a 500D Close-up lens with 58mm threads, and there along with it was a 58 to 55mm adapter ring, which coincidentally, was a perfect fit for the APO Cron 90-M, which, along with the Leica M-Adapter-T mated it all to the SL. I don\'t know how much I will use this rigged up macro, but I have had fun playing around with it while trying to scrape up money to buy a real macro lens for the SL... if there ever is such a thing.
I found using extension tubes works very well, better than close up filters. Best would be to buy the 100/2.8 R of course
