I love the smooth motion feel of my Otus 55 focus ring. It is not as easy to accidently bump as my Ride 180/2.8 APO.
That R lens has very easy to move focus ring so that it can be used for fast focusing on subjects in motion.
I have no problems focusing the Otus 55 using LV on D800E or 5DsR when I have time to use LV. Even focusing using just OVF is not bad in good light, but definitely have higher accuracy rate with LV. The IQ when paired with high MPLAYER sensor is incredible.
