Snowy Plovers, that is. Not very common they are very small shore birds. Not very easy to spot, as the like to lay down on the sand in little holes. I spotted a small colony at the beach just because I got to close to them w/o knowing it and all the sudden they start walking away. That’s right they didn’t fly away. I spent a few hours with these lazy birds and was able to get really close to them. They seemed to be very comfortable as long as I was laying on my belly. Cute little buggers!
