I shot some comparison photos with a Sony A6000 with the 16-70 and the Nikkor S 50mm f/1.4 (old manual lens from the 1970s), with a plain adapter tube on the same camera.
The Nikkor seem to resolve a lot more detail in the bricks. I am wondering if i have a bad copy of the Zeiss or it is normal. The mount also has a little play.
I bought it new, grey market import so it was not covered by warranty but it was $350 cheaper than the $1000 average price. In any case I find it over priced compared to Nikon glass.
