I must say thank Joshua for his help regarding 85mm portrait lenses. With the scarce supply of the Batis 85, I would say a lot of portrait photographers are looking for other options.
The ZA 85/1.8 is really nice, but IMO still lacking at f/1.4. At f/1.8 to 2.5 the lens is superb.
With the recent FW upgrade to vs.44 with the Metabones IV adapter, one of my favourite lenses the 85L II works amazingly well with the A7rII. In fact I find the AF is more accurate that when I had the 5DII.
I was fortunate to pick this afternoon a really good deal on a almost brand new 85L II with the Metabones IV. I quickly updated the Metabones IV and the 85L II works brilliantly.
Anyway the very first shot with the A7rII 85L II and Metabones IV v44 from the person I bought the lens.
