A little over a week ago I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time so to speak. Victoria Beach, MB is closed to traffic from May through September and so I do not go then. I do not feel like dragging all my gear from the parking area to the beaches nor do I want to deal with all the people there as it gets busy in the summer months. So now that it has opened I\'ve been going as often as I can. I had been monitoring the forecast and aurora sites so I decided to take the 2 hour drive to this place. I am glad I did. I got a somewhat nice sunset but then was given an incredible aurora show. One of the better ones I\'ve seen. You could even see the aurora before it was dark. I\'ve wanted to capture aurora here for a LONG time. So glad to have finally gotten the opportunity. I do feel back for the other 2 photogs that showed up to photograph the aurora as they arrive after this great show. It was still active after but just more or less a green glow in the sky. No dancing lights like these.
