Joshua, the rendering of your PP is absolutely stunning... pity for the size of your posts, would be nice to see a bit bigger
Here, my practice with macro... any critiques and suggestions will be very appreciated. Thanks.
Manuel
Manuel, thanks! I am struggling a bit with the conversion/scaling down my images. A few times when I tried to post, it got \"rejected\" with a message that my images were too large. I changed with quality and the compression factor and still. As you could see that the sizes of my images are not consistent lately. I didn\'t have any issues before...
Anyway, I am posting two more images, a tad larger now, that I hope wouldn\'t cause any issues being posted. I saw somebody during the reception had a selfie stick. So, I asked the couple to pretend to take their pictures using that and they did a good job doing so. They looked very convincing alright. The second image was more a hi-key rendering of the couple.
Anyway, I think you macro images are great. As you move closer to the target, the background blur would be more pronounced, highlighting the target better. I would suggest to get a higher magnification of your object. I am not an expert in macro, BTW. Just relying on what seems to look good. Paging Ronny, paging Ronny!
Enjoy the lens,
Joshua
Thanks Joshua... I don\'t know if it is normal at the beginning, but to take macro shots seems to me very difficult and I had lots of focusing errors... hope to improve with more practice however, this lens is very very good!
Manuel
It\'s normal Manuel ! Once you start getting flash and stabilisation you\'ll improve leaps and bounds. You need flash to help you use smaller apertures for DoF and keep shutter speeds up, you often need a tripod with a macro close focusing rail to enable you to move in/out by fractions and also focus stack.
