Just a quick note to mention that I have tested the A7R II with the Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS + adapted with the latest Metabone Smart adapter IV and unfortunatly, autofocus is not always working properly.
On short distance (not focal) it simply cannot lock on focus. Ex. put the lens at 200mm focal and shoot something with about 10 to 15 feet and it cannot lock on. But aim at something around 20 feet + and it works. And when it does, it is at medium speed; not very fast. I tried it at 200mm and 400mm and in between focals and the same result seem to happend.
Is it only for my lens ? I don\'t know. But I am still shocked at the fact that, for a very recent lens, the Canon 200-400mm is not performing better than that and it is so limited. I have reported the problem to Metabone.
Please note that all my other lenses work as expected and are quick to autofocus and on the spot: 16-35mm f/4L IS, 11-24mm f/4L, 24-70mm f/4L IS and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II
