Last week I was expecting my Batis 85mm, but now in Australia it will not be available for another few months. This did frustrate me, and even though I have the 75 Lux, I needed an excellent portrait lens.

Fortunately there are many that are trying to sell the ZA 135mm f/1.8 as it is being phased out, so I just received it this morning at a great price Also arrived the LA EA4 adapter. I was very unsure about my decision about the weight and size, and using the LA EA4 adapter, but I am thrilled having a superb 135mm with f/1.8 with really good AF. I generally only use limited points as to not lock on the incorrect detail, so it is great. The MF implementation is excellent also. This lens just works!!!

Here are first shots of my wife in the office this morning. No sharpening and virtually no PP\'ing.

Any considering a 135mm option, this is an excellent option until there are further offerings from Zeiss/Sony.

Having the 75 Lux, I am relucatant to buy the FE 90 for portraits as it is too close in FL.

Charles the shots look great; the lens works very well for portraits. Out of curiosity how do you find using the LA-4? Does it add a lot of weight.

Let me also say that you are a very lucky man. You not only have a beautiful wife, but you have a wife who is willing to act as a model for you. I\'m afraid I exhausted my wife\'s patience a long time ago, and I have a feeling I am not alone in that.

Thank you Michael I was like thinking the LA-4 would be an issue, but in reality it is not. I feel there are many great lenses out there, and yes the weight/size can be an issue, but at you have a choice
