I just yesterday picked up a Nikkor 75-300/4.5-5.6 oldie (no VR).
...I don\'t need VR as I generally shoot at 1/200 and faster with good results...and with the D610 @ ISO 3200 I can use this lens @ 1/400 and still stop down the lens to F8....here are my 1st shots with it @ ISO 3200
...the racoon shot is full frame 300mm @ 5.6, and the bottom shot is also full frame, 300mm @ F8.
