That said I just don\'t see how posts about 7DII thermal noise are relevant to any of the points at hand
My post was in response to a point very similar to your about banding on the Canon 5DII.
You hold yourself out as an exert, but won\'t take the time to read a link that shows that the 7DII is **not** the same sensor as the 5DIII in terms of banding. It represents a new generation of Canon sensor. From Roger Clark, who I linked to, with some background on his qualifications:
Results: Canon 7D Mark II sensor analysis

I have 2 Sony cameras and a Nikon camera. I didn\'t even own a Canon camera last year until the 7DII came out.
I shoot the Canon at events and for wildlife at higher ISO, where Canon has been more competitive. I shoot the Sony and Nikon at base ISO.
I am a professional. I have 30+ years of experience in photography, with degrees in photography and IT. I don\'t bother wasting my time with petty bs online.
I don\'t care at all about any brand. But you make statements about Canon, then act prissy and dismissive when anyone presents share information that differs from your own.
No worry - I have you hidden now. Not worth my time to engage with fan bois, trolls, & pricks.
