I bought only the lens. Yes, for whatever reasons a lot of people are shying away from the adapter. Maybe because we think that it is gimmicky. Adding an attachment to change the filed of view/focal length is too amateurish . The level of distortion of the lens is quite a bit without any PP correction. I believe adding the adapter would increase the level of distortion. Well, for sure it would not reduce it. And I am relying on the profile correction on LR to do the correction job and it did a good job at it. I am not sure whether LR could detect the addition of the adapter that makes is a 21mm f/2.0. Yes, at $248 it is not bad but I am eyeing another small lens that can cover my need for a small but ultra wide angle.
