Some beautiful images again (i\'ve been a slacker re keeping up with each new page). By the way I support the statement that bottlebrushes grow very well here in cold Canberra (cold for Australia).
Loving your signature images Philip R (especially the sheep - your images caused me to buy the FD 80-200/4 L some time ago) and Peter T, that first bluebell shot is amazing.
I went out today to capture a scene for a canvas for my wife\'s office. I wanted to evaluate my new Pentacon 135/2.8 M42 against the Zeiss (C/Y) and the EF135/2. It was blowing a gale and the light was all wrong for the shot I needed, however I discovered that my Pentacon won\'t infinity-focus
Hopefully there\'s an adjustment possible as I don\'t really want to send it all the way back to the UK.
My latest acquisition arrived today - the lens on the right - an 8-element Leica Summicron 35. I\'m going out now to try it. The lenses will have filters on as there\'s a cold front blowing in and therefore lots of airborne debris.
In the last of the 3 pictures, the sundial looks out to the far ridge where the mount Stromlo Observatory is located. It had a number of fine optical telescopes destroyed by the terrible bushfires in Canberra in January 2004. The Observatory remains a teaching/research arm of the Australian National University and some work continues, but without the historic telescopes.
