Blue Hour Aurora Borealis

These shots were taken in the blue hour. I could not believe the activity so soon on before the sky was even completely dark. I think that contributed greatly to the red/purple fringing colour. It was a pretty amazing storm and I would be surprised if we don\'t see more shots from last night and the night before posted shortly.

I had trouble processing these because of the extreme colors captured in camera. To be honest, the greens were magnificent and you could see them very brightly and I could easily compose through the viewfinder to get the reflections on my F2.8 14-24mm. They had some red/purple fringing that could also be seen with the naked eye but the camera captured more colour. As you can see the sunset glow is still there in the first few shots. No saturation added and vibrance set at 18 in case your wondering.

Thanks for looking,
Corey
