Super set - #2 is my favorite but its quite an enigma! Dave

Hey Dave,
Its quite simple actually. What I did is used my small flash light that I set to a \"spot\" mode. I then ran from one rock to another illuminating it from above for a fraction of a second (I just touched the ON/Off button as oppose to pressing it all the way down until it clicks. That would take too long). I set my camera to a manual mode and at low ISO (around 300) and exposed for 30 seconds. I\'m actually behind of each rock (and running in the darkness between them) but because it\'s so dark the camera\'s sensor didn\'t register me at all, and it was \"overwhelmed\" by the light coming from the flash light. There were small spots above each rock (the actual lightbulb of a flash light) but I took two exposures, this, and one more completely dark, and then removed the small spots (mask them out in PS). That was it. Mystery solved.

Here are two more I illuminated with my green laser I (normally) use for polar alignment. It has over 2 miles range and what I do is point it at Polaris to see exactly where I\'m aligning my Astrotrac to. Plus it\'s an awesome toy
