Taken during the \"king tide\" that hit the cali coast, on a very ominous sunset. I was pretty worried that there wouldn\'t be any breaks in the sky for any color. I got word from a weatherman friend, that looking at sat maps, he could only see one hole in the area I\'m going to be in. So I chanced it and went out there. The waves were really rough, pounding rough. There wasn\'t any foreground rocks to brace any of the waves, so I just planted myself firmly and kept watch of the waves. I took a lot of shots to get the right wave patterns. After the sun hit past the horizon, the sky blew up for maybe only 10mins. I just kept shooting to make sure I got every last bit of color. This is a 3 shot exp blend. 1 for the sky and 2 for the water to get the right wave patterns.
