This looks very interesting to me.
Also seems to be very cost effective.
I have a 5DMkII and late model version I of the 100-400.
I am still debating one to go this route, or not...

But if you wanted to mount a DSLR to a tracking device for astrophotography, you might want to consider a telescope mount. It worked for me.
