I don\'t know that anyone has the guts or the resources to come in and truly release something innovative in this space (Sony had a shot but they blew it in numerous ways), but Nikon and Canon - yes both of them - are totally and utterly boned if anybody does, because they haven\'t had a new idea since their first generations of DSLRs (which, if you\'ll remember, where exactly and completely their latest generation film SLRs with a digital sensor in place of the film plane, so it\'s hard to even know how innovative to call even that).
Is that so?
Now that you have sold all of your Canon, Nikon, and Sony gear (you would want to bend over, no not you) where are you going to put your money where your mouth is? Ricoh=Pentax? Sigma? Olympus? Samsung has SLR cameras: try them.
