Don\'t know where you get your info, but the pictures of the camera clearly show HDMI out and microphone in. So I distrust the other \"info\" in your post too.
DPR review said no HDMI and mic

OK it has HDMI out but no clean HDMI out. (then again they damaged the signal before HDMI out on the 5D3 so maybe it doesn\'t matter anyway).
It does have mic in, looks like they changed it now to report no headphone jack.
Anyway the video is 5D2 equal then, not worse, still way out of date for today.
