Wow, so basically every good rumor proved to be incorrect and every single bad rumor proved to incorrect (since everything actually turned out to be even worse!).
Sad, sad, sad day for Canon.
Jeez.
How about this:
unlike with the recent FF Nikon cameras, the new 5Ds fails to increase fps when used in crop modes
or this:
\"As far as dynamic range is concerned, we\'re told that the new 5DS and 5DS R should give the same performance as the current EOS 5D Mark III.\"
or this:
\"Canon Japan\'s technical site appears to state it is based on the same 500nm process as all other Canon DSLR sensors.\"
or how about this:
The 5Ds video not only lacks 4k ability it does not improve on the 1080P either. It is still maxed out at 30P at 1080P. It is still locked in to 8bits 4:0:0. It offers no usability features such as zebras or manual focusing aids.
Some early reports claim it lacks even DPAF but does allow some sort of slow form of contrast AI servo off the sensor.
They not only don\'t offer clean HDMI out they don\'t even offer HDMI out at all!
They also removed not only headphone jack but mic jac at all so audio can only be through internal mic and internal audio amp or a completely external system!
