Pretty solid, but not like a Canon high end DSLR with an L 100-400 mm. It hunts a bit more, but is pretty solid. It takes more practice to get things right. But, I\'m totally committed to the Sony alpha series, and the LA-EA4 + 70-400g fits in just fine... The Canikon higher end DSLRs still have the advantage in tele/sports, but I\'m fine with Sony when I look at the overall package.
I did a \"one lens\" trip today at Point Reyes and had a great time. I\'ll post a couple more shots once I get through them all...
