Free iPhone 4s w/ Otterbox Case (new) to someone in need. Details below...
Hey gang!
Yes, it\'s Jim. Yes, the one that always signs his PM\'s with the <>< symbol. What is that anyway? We\'ll save that for another post.
Christmas is one of my favorite times of year mainly because my Christian faith celebrates the birth of Jesus. However, for many the holidays bring both mental and emotional stress that is not welcome. Add a U.S. economy that is sluggish (at best) and recovering at a snails pace and a world that seems to be experiencing chaos on so many levels - it\'s no wonder people are suffering and struggling. All I can say is I totally understand your feelings and concerns. The old saying \"been there - done that\". I have - and - I promise you\'re not alone and remain in my family\'s nightly prayers.
By God\'s grace I have been blessed with work and a healthy family this year. I did have one scary moment in September when, out of nowhere, my blood pressure hit 240 / 135 and I went into Atrial Fib. For a man of 47 that\'s always played sports, in good shape and not overweight this was truly a scary and eye-opening moment. I\'m happy to report my heart-cath revealed a heart that is healthy and in perfect shape. Good news for sure although the doctors are still not sure why I had that experience. Definitely puzzling. Other than that one incident it\'s been an amazing year of God\'s grace and blessings which I\'m so grateful.
The past few years haven\'t been as \"event-free\" as this year. After 14 years running the same business I started in the mid-nineties, I had to start over financially 8 years ago. My prior business was tied directly to the new home industry employing over 20 people; when the U.S. economy crashed in 2006-07 life got very difficult and a little scary for my family. At the time, I had two small children under the age of two and my wife and I wasn\'t sure exactly where God was guiding us. However, through obedience, faith and a tremendous amount of prayer we\'re exactly where we\'re supposed to be today ... Thankfully so!
My point to all of this is that I totally \"get\" and understand what it means to struggle and to live life when things appear to be crumbling around you. Closing a business, losing a job and career, starting over financially, providing for a family, etc. those are REAL life struggles. Add the hustle and bustle of the holidays in the mix and it can be overwhelming. Just know you\'re not alone with your feelings. My only advice is to not cave-in and quit. Don\'t! Keep persevering and you will get through it. No \"pity parties\" or \"woe is me\" attitude. Trust me, keep fighting the battle and I promise you\'ll be a better person for the experience and things will turn in your favor. Quitting and giving up is easy... Don\'t do it!
So what about the free iPhone Jim? ...
If you\'re reading this and currently experiencing a financial struggle then please contact me about the free iPhone 4s and case. I don\'t care what you do with it and realize it\'s not a huge offering. It\'s a simple gift. If you need to use it, sell it or trade it - It doesn\'t matter to me - It\'s your\'s. My main purpose of this post is hopefully someone will take comfort knowing you\'re not alone and have the thoughts and prayers of many here on FM, including my family.
So, if you have a sincere need for a cell phone for you or a family member but don\'t have the means to purchase one then please have mine. Christmas is about giving and it would be a tremendous blessing for my family to provide it to someone in need. Just contact me by PM with your mailing address so I can send it out USPS Priority this week. No strings, no costs, no nothing. Okay, maybe one small string... My only request is that once you get back on your feet please pay-it-forward and help another in a similar way. That\'s it.
Finally, there are so many awesome people involved in this community and I\'m blessed to know many of you. We all owe a great debt of gratitude to Fred Miranda for maintaining such a great place to gather and share our photos, knowledge and experiences. To be honest, as a fellow business owner I\'m not sure I could put up with all the non-sense that he does day in and out. So, thank you for all you do Fred and staff!
My family and I wish each of you a Merry Christmas and that God pours down His blessings on you in 2015 and beyond.
Merry Christmas,
Jim, Robbin, Eli & Savannah Grace
