Nikon 50/1.2 AI-s arrived yesterday. It is really quite sharp from f/2 on - lots sharper than my Rokkor 58/1.2, a little better than the Contax 50/1.7 and almost with the 35-70/3.4. Slightly nervous bokeh though.
If it had the Rokkor bokeh it would be the perfect fast 50. If the Rokkor was this sharp IT would be the perfect fast 50. Still, I am very happy with the feel, size and weight, enough to contemplate Leitaxing it as a permanent member of the family.
Now if I could get Ed Mika to actually contact me about the whereabouts of my adapter I might be able to report on the FD 300/4 L that showed up a few weeks ago
