FM forum does it again: the first forum to post some real 400 DO MkII test/review results.
So far, these are the first results of my testing:
(1) CR-80 replacement foot fits on the lens perfectly as I have expected. The OEM foot is mostly useless.
(2) Don Zeck\'s lid for 300 f/2.8 fits perfectly on the lens too.
(3) The lens front element is deeply recessed within the hood mount flange. Shooting without the hood here and there under \"safe\" light conditions, if desired, should not be a problem.
(4) IS is practically noiseless......by far the quietest of all lenses which I\'ve shot with.
(5) The case has no TC (or coffee cup) pockets.....thank you Canon.
(6) MF ring is as smooth as silk.....the smoothest of all long lenses I\'ve used.
