So you may have noticed that my recent posts have been from a particular location. So are these. Nature never ceases to amazing me with interesting ice formations. One of the things I love about winter photography and gets me out in the cold. These images are from a few different visits. I haven\'t really spent any time there on macro shots but I did get some nice icy details images.
Unfortunately when you play with fire—in this case icy cold water—you can get burned. Last Thursday while setting up for a photo my camera fell from the trip into the water. I am still unsure exactly what happened. I am very careful when working in tricky situations. Either ice build up on the clamp and base or it wiggled loose. Luckily I was holding on to the filter folder so the lens didn\'t submerge. It survived but the camera is done. I am trying the rice trick but I am pretty sure it is gone. Not sure when I will get a new camera. I still have my old 40Ds if I am desperate but they are my work cameras and really are a set down. I started a crowd funding campaign with hopes to raise some funds so we\'ll see how that goes. A few generous members here on FM have gratefully contributed. I feel humbled. Thank you! So, for now I am not sure how much new material I\'ll post. Luckily I still have many photos to process from recent outings. Hopefully I\'ll get to them in the coming weeks.
