Re: Sony Alpha 7/7r/7s Images Thread

Ronny, Boris, Charles, Werner and Kevin, thank you very much! I am glad you the images.

Great shots, Charles and Werner! Since the theme of the last few images is \"candle-lit\", here are 3 more images having the same theme then although the religion is different . Kevin, Myanmar is absolutely more than worthwhile. I only spent 10 days there and I was barely scratching the surface.

The first one is of a novice monk at the reclining Buddha statue taken with Leica WATE at either 16 or 18mm (sorry, I don\'t remember exactly) but the aperture was at f/5.6. I had to handheld that shot since the space was very tight and I had to capture it within seconds. The second one of the girl was captured at a night market in Kalaw. The candle was on the table first of... (frankly, I do not recall what she was selling ). I asked her to hold the candle higher in gesture language and she understood. For the vast majority, people in Myanmar not only do not mind having their pictures taken but willingly pose in front of the camera. I hope that this doesn\'t change much if any in the future.

The last shot of two novice monks was captured at a temple at a monastery is Nyaungshwe. Again, it was very tight and I wanted to change the angle of view and that wasn\'t too happy with the angle of the regular shots but I wanted a different view when I ditched the tripod and just put the camera with the WATE at 16mm on the floor for that shot.

I said it before and say it again, I have been extremely pleased how the A7s performs under low light shooting conditions on this trip to Myanmar and to Bali. The silent shutter for street/market shooting is simply freakin\' awesome. I got shots that I couldn\'t pull off before.
