At the risk of sounding like a broken record, thanks again to all who took time to look and comment! Much appreciated!

Beautiful shots Alan! You nailed the exposures and did a great job with the compositions. The glow you shot in #2 is a fun glow that I\'ve shot from the other angle in the past, but I like the longer lens view because of the added compression. One thing I would suggest is getting a lens hood for your 4x5 setup. It really helps with scenes like #3 where you have the dark cliffs, and some of the light from the sky overhead will bleed into the shadows a bit. I use the Lee wide angle hood which is a good match for my 8x10, but might be a bit large on a 4x5 lens. The other thing I do is hold my dark slide over the lens to help block the light. Dinkum makes a product that goes into the top shoe, then has a bendable arm with a metal piece on the end that can be used to block the light from the sky. I\'d also be curious to see the B&W shots I took in Zion. I\'ll probably bring some Neopan with me to Zion in the winter to try out a few compositions I have in mind.
Thanks for the info about the Lee hood. It\'s something I\'ll look into to see if it will fit my 4x5. I really need to change filter systems to something larger, so this will probably be in my future at some point. I didn\'t shoot any Neopan on this trip simply because I just have no idea how it will develop. I\'ll start shooting it at some local spots to get a feel for how it handles. I shot less BW on this trip than I thought I would, but I do have 3 images that I feel are really solid. I\'ll post them here in the next few weeks. Also, since I figure this Internet thing is here to stay, I\'m working on a website. Everything, including daily recaps, will be up there as well...eventually.

Alan,
Thanks to you, I now have 120 Velvia 50 Quickloads coming for my 4x5. Seeing your photos made me take the plung into color slide film. (lucked in to 120 sheets for $240.00 freezer stored from 2007 and 2011)
I\'ll still primarily shoot B&W, but will have a few Velvia 50 Quickloads along on my hikes from now on.
Have you shared these photos over at the Large Format Photography forums? I\'m sure they\'ll really like to see them as well.
120 sheets?! At $2 per sheet? That\'s awesome! Your stash is quite a bit larger than mine now actually. Coming from a BW background, I think you\'ll have no trouble with Velvia. It certainly has far less latitude, but the metering techniques needed for BW will transfer nicely. Just keep a close eye on those highlights! I haven\'t posted to LF yet, but I definitely will. This forum and that one are actually the only 2 I post two so I\'ll be posting there soon.
