After posting my peregrine shots, I realized that I\'ve never posted photographs of the Short-eared Owls taken this past Winter… We had a great season for these owls here in Northern New Jersey and Southern New York... Crossing my fingers for even better season this year
1 - hiding low on the ground
2 - taking off to defend its territory
3 - ejecting a pellet in midair
4 - falling asleep on a stick
5 - peacefully standing in the snow
