All I can add is I find the rendering of colour of the SSP 6 and SSP5 to be very different. Very noticeable. Ive had the exact same settings for the same raw file and put it through both versions and the colour output is very different. Whether or not this goes into other areas of the processing I am not sure as that is the only comparison I have carefully done, having noticed it by chance.
Just to add I therefore have both SSP5 and 6 and alternate if I am not getting a good rendition from one I try the other. On the pc you can have both, I cannot see how that would be any different on a Mac.
