Bokeh is so much nicer and so is the colour. Notice the difference in colour rendering with the Nano coat.
Now for a more recent shot with the 58 @ f/2.2
I took some advice and used f/2.2 because of the close range.
I\'ve now sold the 50 1.4G, and have the 58 on my D810 as a default lens. I love the 58mm focal length as well as the bokeh. It just adds a tiny bit of compression but still fits a lot in.
