Last evening, after surviving a day of high winds, falling temperatures and intermittent rain that changed to sleet, photographers from various backgrounds gathered at Lindy Point in Blackwater Falls State Park. Joe Rossbach brought a tour and with the other ad hoc photographers the viewing deck and surrounding rocks were covered with tripods and their attendants. I suspect Lindy Point in the first weekend of October approaches the scene at Maroon Bells!
At any rate, the rain clouds started to break up and promising openings began to appear about an hour before sunset. The actual sunset offered little color, but the broken clouds put on a show crepuscular rays and patches of late afternoon sunshine that repeatedly moved up the canyon. The below is from just one such episode. It would be interesting to see what others came away with if there were any other FMers there.
Comments and suggestions are always welcome.
