Here\'s a question: Would canon use an outsourced sensor? The original 1D used a CCD from Panasonic.
Everyone has just assumed it is easy for Canon to replicate Sony\'s sensor tech, but I assume it is heavy patented. What if they decided to simply pay for the Sony sensor like Nikon, but in an official canon body.
