There are other ways to get there as well.

A thought: as mentioned earlier, a 1Dx model would have to be followed by a non-1-series camera with the same or similar sensor, since there is competition at lower price points from Nikon/Sony in the high-MP space.

BTW, I\'m not yet ready to drink the Kool-Aid on this \"rumor,\" though it doesn\'t seem completely outrageous in light of, well, a whole bunch of things.
