That is a bummer that product scalping may still be going on… sort of hard to dispute supply and demand but still its disheartening to hear since there are are dealers around doing makes-sense deals on used gear.
rscheffler- congrats on the 90.. gorgeous lens and yes also not without its quirks. I too find focus at 90 with the M is more challenging than with the shorter focal lengths, mostly due however (for me) to the image being focused is the same size in the finder as with the shorter focal lengths. I haven\'t found the eyepiece magnifiers of much assistance, in that the focus patches are much lighter and it can be even more difficult to focus in certain lighting conditions.
I have been spoiled however since a year and a half ago when I replaced a couple of my 1.4\'s with a Noctilux ASPH. Talk about difficulty focusing, but when you hit it, it is amazing in both technical and emotional. Couple shots from this year posted below - Taipei Taiwan with Taipei 101, and the Vietnam War Memorial in WA DC. Both with M240.
Some criticize the Noctilux as being too ambitious, heavy and expensive. Heavy and expensive, yes; but the ambition has produced a challenge which has been paying off like I didn\'t expect. Practice has brought some reliability to the thin DOF focus.
