Or look at the Leica Summilux-R 35/1.4 or Contax 35/1.4 or Carl Zeiss ZF.2/ZE 35/1.4, if you don\'t mind the extra size.
I don\'t know if anyone agrees with me, but I doubt we will ever see a native auto-focusing FE f/1.4 35mm or 50mm lens (or any other focal length for that matter). I suspect that the mount is too narrow and the sensitivity to impinging angles too great for a compact lens, and I doubt a larger, more tele-centric lens will be released. It is an open question if Zeiss will release a manual focus FE lens like this.
55-58mm is where Nikon has traditionally gone to make f/1.2 lenses for their F-mount, yet Sony went there to release just an f/1.8 lens...
Those and the Voigtlander 35/1.2 II.
My Revuenon 55/1.2 works very well on the A7R and that\'s a pretty small light weight lens.
I do hope Sony/Zeiss issue some more glass for this excellent camera. A fast 35, very fast 50-55, fast 85 and 135/2 would be great. Perhaps a 14/2.8 or 14/4.
With the FE 35/2.8, I think the balance of weight size and speed has tipped in favour of weight and size too much. Could have been a bit bigger/heavier (it\'s only 120 grams!) and a stop or so fast.
